My beloved spoke, and said to me, *Rise up, my love, my beautiful one, and come away.

My dove in the clefts of the rock, In the hiding places of the mountainside, Let me see your face. Let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely.

Your temples are like a piece of a pomegranate behind your veil.

Your head on you is like Karmel. The hair of your head like purple. The king is held captive in its tresses.

For thus says the LORD concerning the house of the king of Yehudah: You are Gil`ad to me, [and] the head of Levanon; [yet] surely I will make you a wilderness, [and] cities which are not inhabited.

Your renown went forth among the nations for your beauty; for it was perfect, through my majesty which I had put on you, says the Lord GOD.

Shepherd your people with your staff, the flock of your heritage, who dwell by themselves in a forest, in the midst of fertile pasture land, let them feed; in Bashan and Gil`ad, as in the days of old.

Now the children of Re'uven and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of livestock: and when they saw the land of Ya`zer, and the land of Gil`ad, that behold, the place was a place for livestock;

Moshe gave Gil`ad to Makhir the son of Menasheh; and he lived therein.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls.

But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.
