and honey, and butter, and sheep, and cheese of the herd, for David, and for the people who were with him, to eat: for they said, The people are hungry, and weary, and thirsty, in the wilderness.
Let us make, Please, a little chamber on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a seat, and a lamp stand: and it shall be, when he comes to us, that he shall turn in there.
He, fastening his eyes on him, and being frightened, said, *What is it, Lord?* He said to him, *Your prayers and your gifts to the needy have gone up for a memorial before God.
Now I beg you, brothers (you know the house of Stephanas, that it is the first fruits of Achaia, and that they have set themselves to serve the holy ones),
being approved by good works, if she has brought up children, if she has been hospitable to strangers, if she has washed the holy ones' feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, and if she has diligently followed every good work.
For God is not unrighteous, so as to forget your work and the labor of love which you showed toward his name, in that you served the holy ones, and still do serve them.
But whoever has the world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and closes his heart of compassion against him, how does the love of God remain in him?
