My soul is among lions. I lie among those who are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.

Who can open the doors of his face? Around his teeth is terror.

What do you mean that you crush my people, and grind the face of the poor?* says the Lord, the LORD of Armies.


to deprive the needy from justice, and to rob the poor among my people of their rights, that widows may be their spoil, and that they may make the fatherless their prey!


Behold, the princes of Yisra'el, everyone according to his power, have been in you to shed blood.


You eat the fat, and you clothe you with the wool, you kill the fatlings; but you don't feed the sheep.
