The king stood by the pillar, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his mitzvot, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all [his] heart, and all [his] soul, to confirm the words of this covenant that were written in this book: and all the people stood to the covenant.

Yehoiada made a covenant between himself, and all the people, and the king, that they should be the LORD's people.

Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, that his fierce anger may turn away from us.

They joined with their brothers, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God's law, which was given by Moshe the servant of God, and to observe and do all the mitzvot of the LORD our Lord, and his ordinances and his statutes;

One will say, 'I am the LORD's;' and another will be called by the name of Ya`akov; and another will write with his hand 'to the LORD,' and honor the name of Yisra'el.*

So they went with the guard and made the tomb secure, sealing the stone.
