A scribe came, and said to him, *Rabbi, I will follow you wherever you go.*
this Ezra went up from Bavel: and he was a ready scribe in the Torah of Moshe, which the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, had given; and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the LORD his God on him.
So therefore whoever of you who doesn't renounce all that he has, he can't be my talmid.
Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the Torah scholar of this world? Hasn't God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
But with you it may be that I will stay, or even winter, that you may send me on my journey wherever I go.
