The sinners in Tziyon are afraid. Trembling has seized the godless ones. Who among us can live with the devouring fire? Who among us can live with everlasting burning?

Woe to the worthless shepherd who leaves the flock! The sword will be on his arm, and on his right eye. His arm will be completely withered, and his right eye will be totally blinded!*

*Woe to you, you blind guides, who say, 'Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obligated.'

But when he saw many of the Perushim and Tzedukim coming for his immersion, he said to them, *You offspring of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

Woe to you Torah scholars! For you took away the key of knowledge. You didn't enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in, you hindered.*

His parents said these things because they feared the Judeans; for the Judeans had already agreed that if any man would confess him as Messiah, he would be put out of the synagogue.

So they called the man who was blind a second time, and said to him, *Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.*

saying, *Didn't we strictly charge you not to teach in this name? Behold, you have filled Yerushalayim with your teaching, and intend to bring this man's blood on us.*

They agreed with him. Summoning the emissaries, they beat them and charged them not to speak in the name of Yeshua, and let them go.

Sha'ul was consenting to his death. A great persecution arose against the assembly which was in Yerushalayim in that day. They were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Yehudah and Shomron, except for the emissaries.

Even as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moshe, so do these also oppose the truth; men corrupted in mind, reprobate concerning the faith.
