One of them, a Torah scholar, asked him a question, testing him.
But Yeshua perceived their wickedness, and said, *Why do you test me, you hypocrites?
*Rabbi, which is the greatest mitzvah in the Torah?*
Perushim came to him testing him, and asked him, *Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?*
Woe to you Torah scholars! For you took away the key of knowledge. You didn't enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in, you hindered.*
Yeshua, answering, spoke to the Torah scholars and Perushim, saying, *Is it lawful to heal on the Shabbat?*
But the Perushim and the Torah scholars rejected the counsel of God, not being immersed by him themselves.
They said this testing him, that they might have something to accuse him of. But Yeshua stooped down, and wrote on the ground with his finger.
Send Zenas, the Torah scholar, and Apollos on their journey speedily, that nothing may be lacking for them.
