Then answered one of the people, and said, Your father directly charged the people with an oath, saying, Cursed be the man who eats food this day. The people were faint.

God do so to the enemies of David, and more also, if I leave of all that belongs to him by the morning light so much as one boy.

Sha'ul swore to her by the LORD, saying, As the LORD lives, there shall no punishment happen to you for this thing.
