If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having your two hands to go into Gehinnom, into the unquenchable fire,
Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, you men of Yehudah and inhabitants of Yerushalayim; lest my wrath go forth like fire, and burn so that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.
But, lest we cause them to stumble, go to the sea, cast a hook, and take up the first fish that comes up. When you have opened its mouth, you will find a stater coin. Take that, and give it to them for me and you.*
