For he was teaching his talmidim, and said to them, *The Son of Man is being handed over to the hands of men, and they will kill him; and when he is killed, on the third day he will rise again.*
From that time, Yeshua began to show his talmidim that he must go to Yerushalayim and suffer many things from the elders, chief Kohanim, and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised up.
He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, the chief Kohanim, and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
He said to them, *Eliyahu indeed comes first, and restores all things. How is it written about the Son of Man, that he should suffer many things and be despised?
No one takes it away from me, but I lay it down by myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. I received this mitzvah from my Father.*
