The second is like this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other mitzvah greater than these.*
*'You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning.
*'You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people; but you shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.
A second likewise is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'
Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the Torah and the Prophets.
The scribe said to him, *Truly, teacher, you have said well that he is one, and there is none other but he,
He answered, *You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.*
For the whole Torah is fulfilled in one word, in this: *You shall love your neighbor as yourself.*
This mitzvah we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother.
