Leviticus 16:21

Aharon shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Yisra'el, and all their transgressions, even all their sins; and he shall put them on the head of the goat, and shall send him away into the wilderness by the hand of a man who is in readiness.

Now while Ezra prayed and made confession, weeping and casting himself down before the house of God, there was gathered together to him out of Yisra'el a very great assembly of men and women and children; for the people wept very sore.

The goat shall carry all their iniquities on himself to a solitary land, and he shall let the goat go in the wilderness.

*'If they confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, in their trespass which they trespassed against me, and also that, because they walked contrary to me,

It shall be, when he is guilty of one of these, he shall confess that in which he has sinned:

For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
