that the violence done to the seventy sons of Yerubba`al might come, and that their blood might be laid on Avimelekh their brother, who killed them, and on the men of Shekhem, who strengthened his hands to kill his brothers.

The LORD will return his blood on his own head, because he fell on two men more righteous and better than he, and killed them with the sword, and my father David didn't know it, [to wit], Aviner the son of Ner, captain of the army of Yisra'el, and `Amasa the son of Yeter, captain of the army of Yehudah.

The men of Shekhem set an ambush for him on the tops of the mountains, and they robbed all who came along that way by them: and it was told Avimelekh.

Shemu'el said, As your sword has made women childless, so shall your mother be childless among women. Shemu'el hewed Agag in pieces before the LORD in Gilgal.
