But you, Beit-Lechem Efratah, being small among the clans of Yehudah, out of you one will come forth to me that is to be ruler in Yisra'el; whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting.
After Avimelekh there arose to save Yisra'el Tola the son of Pu`ah, the son of Dodo, a man of Yissakhar; and he lived in Shamir in the hill country of Efrayim.
It happened in those days, when there was no king in Yisra'el, that there was a certain Levite sojourning on the farther side of the hill country of Efrayim, who took to him a concubine out of Beit-Lechem-Yehudah.
