For the Lord had made the army of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great army: and they said one to another, Behold, the king of Yisra'el has hired against us the kings of the Chitti, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come on us.
They brought up and brought out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred pieces of silver, and a horse for one hundred fifty: and so for all the kings of the Chitti, and the kings of Syria, did they bring them out by their means.
Menasheh did not drive out [the inhabitants of] Beit-Shean and its towns, nor [of] Ta`nakh and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Dor and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Yivle`am and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Megiddo and its towns; but the Kena`anim would dwell in that land.
