The children of the Keni, Moshe' brother-in-law, went up out of the city of palm trees with the children of Yehudah into the wilderness of Yehudah, which is in the south of `Arad; and they went and lived with the people.

Go to the house of the Rechavim, and speak to them, and bring them into the house of the LORD, into one of the chambers, and give them wine to drink.

The Kena`ani, the king of `Arad, who lived in the South, heard tell that Yisra'el came by the way of Atarim; and he fought against Yisra'el, and took some of them captive.

However Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of Ya`el the wife of Chever the Keni; for there was shalom between Yavin the king of Chatzor and the house of Chever the Keni.

Sha'ul said to the Kinim, Go, depart, get you down from among the `Amaleki, lest I destroy you with them; for you shown kindness to all the children of Yisra'el, when they came up out of Egypt. So the Kinim departed from among the `Amaleki.

Akhish said, Against whom have you made a raid today? David said, Against the South of Yehudah, and against the South of the Yerachme'eli, and against the South of the Kinim.
