His wife Yehudiyah bore Yered the father of Gedor, and Chever the father of Sokho, and Yekuti'el the father of Zanoach. These are the sons of Bityah the daughter of Par`oh, whom Mered took.
The LORD confused them before Yisra'el, and he killed them with a great slaughter at Giv`on, and chased them by the way of the ascent of Beit-Choron, and struck them to `Azeka, and to Makkedah.

David therefore departed there, and escaped to the cave of `Adullam: and when his brothers and all his father's house heard it, they went down there to him.
