Behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

Pilate therefore said to him, *Are you a king then?* Yeshua answered, *You say that I am a king. For this reason I have been born, and for this reason I have come into the world, that I should testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.*
Pilate said to him, *What is truth?* When he had said this, he went out again to the Judeans, and said to them, *I find no basis for a charge against him.
At this, Pilate was seeking to release him, but the Judeans cried out, saying, *If you release this man, you aren't Caesar's friend! Everyone who makes himself a king speaks against Caesar!*
