While he was at Beit-Anyah, in the house of Shim`on the leper, as he sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster jar of ointment of pure nard--very costly. She broke the jar, and poured it over his head.

When the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said to her, *Don't cry.*

You call me, 'Rabbi' and 'Lord.' You say so correctly, for so I am.

If I then, the Lord and the Rabbi, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.
