It was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words to Iyov, the LORD said to Elifaz the Temanite, *My wrath is kindled against you, and against your two friends; for you have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Iyov has.

The LORD said to Hasatan, *Have you considered my servant, Iyov? For there is none like him in the earth, a blameless and an upright man, one who fears God, and turns away from evil.*

Then Tzofar, the Na`amatite, answered,

Now when Iyov's three friends heard of all this evil that had come on him, they each came from his own place: Elifaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuchite, and Tzofar the Na`amatite, and they made an appointment together to come to sympathize with him and to comfort him.

He will even deliver him who is not innocent. Yes, he shall be delivered through the cleanness of your hands.*

When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, his wrath was kindled.

Then Elifaz the Temanite answered,

Then Iyov answered the LORD,

Then Iyov answered the LORD,

Therefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.*

Then Bildad the Shuchite answered,

Against you, and you only, have I sinned, and done that which is evil in your sight; that you may be proved right when you speak, and justified when you judge.
