Mo'av has been at ease from his youth, and he has settled on his lees, and has not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither has he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remains in him, and his scent is not changed.
It will happen at that time, that I will search Yerushalayim with lamps, and I will punish the men who are settled on their dregs, who say in their heart, *The LORD will not do good, neither will he do evil.*
I went out full, and the LORD has brought me home again empty; why do you call me Na`omi 1, seeing the LORD has testified against me, and the Almighty has afflicted me?*
