The LORD said to Hasatan, *Have you considered my servant, Iyov? For there is none like him in the earth, a blameless and an upright man, one who fears God, and turns away from evil.*
Like him was there no king before him, who turned to the LORD with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the Torah of Moshe; neither after him arose there any like him.
But the former governors who were before me were chargeable to the people, and took of them bread and wine, besides forty shekels of silver; yes, even their servants bore rule over the people: but I didn't do so, because of the fear of God.
Again it happened on the day when the God's sons came to present themselves before the LORD, that Hasatan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.
The LORD said to Hasatan, *Have you considered my servant Iyov? For there is none like him in the earth, a blameless and an upright man, one who fears God, and turns away from evil. He still maintains his integrity, although you incited me against him, to ruin him without cause.*
The man said to me, Son of man, see with your eyes, and hear with your ears, and set your heart on all that I shall show you; for, to the intent that I may show them to you, are you brought here: declare all that you see to the house of Yisra'el.
Moshe my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Yarden, you, and all this people, to the land which I give to them, even to the children of Yisra'el.
Only be strong and very courageous, to observe to do according to all the law, which Moshe my servant commanded you. Don't turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go.
