Behold, I am against you, destroying mountain, says the LORD, which destroys all the earth; and I will stretch out my hand on you, and roll you down from the rocks, and will make you a burnt mountain.

They said, *Come, let's build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top reaches to the sky, and let's make ourselves a name, lest we be scattered abroad on the surface of the whole earth.*

Behold, I am against you, you proud one, says the Lord, the LORD of Armies; for your day is come, the time that I will visit you.

Though Bavel should mount up to the sky, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall destroyers come to her, says the LORD.

Thus says the LORD of Armies: The broad walls of Bavel shall be utterly overthrown, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the peoples shall labor for vanity, and the nations for the fire; and they shall be weary.

Bavel has been a golden cup in the LORD's hand, who made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunk of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.

The king spoke and said, Is not this great Bavel, which I have built for the royal dwelling place, by the might of my power and for the glory of my majesty?

Who are you, great mountain? Before Zerubbavel you are a plain; and he will bring out the capstone with shouts of 'Grace, grace, to it!'*

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fervent heat, and the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.

The second angel sounded, and something like a great burning mountain was thrown into the sea. One third of the sea became blood,
