In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bore them, and carried them all the days of old.
The message that Yirmeyahu the prophet spoke to Barukh the son of Neriyah 1, when he wrote these words in a book at the mouth of Yirmeyahu, in the fourth year of Yehoiakim the son of Yoshiyahu, king of Yehudah, saying,
who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
For we don't have a Kohen Gadol who can't be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.
