Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, that his fierce anger may turn away from us.

Will you be angry with us forever? Will you draw out your anger to all generations?

Won't you revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?

For I will not contend forever, neither will I be always angry; for the spirit would faint before me, and the souls who I have made.

Don't be furious, LORD, neither remember iniquity forever: see, look, we beg you, we are all your people.

Go, and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, you backsliding Yisra'el, says the LORD; I will not look in anger on you; for I am merciful, says the LORD, I will not keep [anger] forever.

Why then is this people of Yerushalayim slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return.

I listened and heard, but they didn't speak aright: no man repents him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? everyone turns to his course, as a horse that rushes headlong in the battle.

Behold, the princes of Yisra'el, everyone according to his power, have been in you to shed blood.

Woe to those who devise iniquity and work evil on their beds! When the morning is light, they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand.

Their hands are on that which is evil to do it diligently. The ruler and judge ask for a bribe; and the powerful man dictates the evil desire of his soul. Thus they conspire together.
