The LORD will utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his scorching wind he will wave his hand over the River, and will split it into seven streams, and cause men to march over in sandals.
There will be a highway for the remnant that is left of his people from Ashur, like there was for Yisra'el in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.
The the LORD's ransomed ones will return, and come with singing to Tziyon; and everlasting joy will be on their heads. They will obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.*
A highway will be there, a road, and it will be called The Holy Way. The unclean shall not pass over it, but it will be for those who walk in the Way. Wicked fools will not go there.
Why, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it can't redeem? or have I no power to deliver? Behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stink, because there is no water, and die for thirst.
In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bore them, and carried them all the days of old.
He will pass through the sea of affliction, and will strike the waves in the sea, and all the depths of the Nile 1 will dry up; and the pride of Ashur will be brought down, and the scepter of Egypt will depart.
