For the LORD will have compassion on Ya`akov, and will yet choose Yisra'el, and set them in their own land. The foreigner will join himself with them, and they will unite with the house of Ya`akov.
Therefore thus says the LORD, who redeemed Avraham, concerning the house of Ya`akov: *Ya`akov shall no longer be ashamed, neither shall his face grow pale.
Who is blind, but my servant? Or who is as deaf as my messenger whom I send? Who is as blind as he who is at shalom, and as blind as the LORD's servant?
But now thus says the LORD who created you, Ya`akov, and he who formed you, Yisra'el: *Don't be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name. You are mine.
*You are my witnesses,* says the LORD, *With my servant whom I have chosen; that you may know and believe me, and understand that I am he. Before me there was no God formed, neither will there be after me.
Remember these things, Ya`akov, and Yisra'el; for you are my servant: I have formed you; you are my servant: Yisra'el, you shall not be forgotten by me.
For you are our Father, though Avraham doesn't know us, and Yisra'el does not acknowledge us: you, LORD, are our Father; our Redeemer from everlasting is your name.
Don't you consider what this people has spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD did choose, he has cast them off? thus do they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.
What then is the law? It was added because of transgressions, until the seed should come to whom the promise has been made. It was ordained through angels by the hand of a mediator.
For you are a holy people to the LORD your God, and the LORD has chosen you to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples who are on the face of the earth.
