To his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a lamp always before me in Yerushalayim, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there.

Nevertheless for David's sake did the LORD his God give him a lamp in Yerushalayim, to set up his son after him, and to establish Yerushalayim;

I will add to your days fifteen years; and I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Ashur; and I will defend this city for my own sake, and for my servant David's sake.

LORD, for your servant's sake, and according to your own heart, have you worked all this greatness, to make known all [these] great things.

As birds hovering, so the LORD of Armies will protect Yerushalayim. He will protect and deliver it. He will pass over and preserve it.*

The LORD of Armies will defend them; and they will destroy and overcome with sling stones; and they will drink, and roar as through wine; and they will be filled like bowls, like the corners of the altar.

were it not that I feared the provocation of the enemy, lest their adversaries should judge wrongly, lest they should say, Our hand is exalted, The LORD has not done all this.
