It will come to pass in that day that the remnant of Yisra'el, and those who have escaped from the house of Ya`akov will no more again lean on him who struck them, but shall lean on the LORD, the Holy One of Yisra'el, in truth.
The LORD, your hand is lifted up, yet they don't see; but they will see your zeal for the people, and be disappointed. Yes, fire will consume your adversaries.
It may be the LORD your God will hear the words of Ravshakeh, whom the king of Ashur his master has sent to defy the living God, and will rebuke the words which the LORD your God has heard. Therefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.'*
The LORD will go out like a mighty man. He will stir up zeal like a man of war. He will raise a war cry. Yes, he will shout aloud. He will triumph over his enemies.
He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on his head; and he put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a mantle.
Look down from heaven, and see from the habitation of your holiness and of your glory: where are your zeal and your mighty acts? the yearning of your heart and your compassion is restrained toward me.
For to us a child is born. To us a son is given; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Shalom.
Of the increase of his government and of shalom there shall be no end, on the throne of David, and on his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from that time on, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of Armies will perform this.
So the angel who talked with me said to me, *Proclaim, saying, 'Thus says the LORD of Armies: *I am jealous for Yerushalayim and for Tziyon with a great jealousy.
