Now Mesha king of Mo'av was a sheep breeder; and he rendered to the king of Yisra'el the wool of one hundred thousand lambs, and of one hundred thousand rams.
It will happen that like a a hunted gazelle, and like sheep that no one gathers, they will each turn to their own people, and will each flee to their own land.

From `Aro`er, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and [from] the city that is in the valley, even to Gil`ad, there was not a city too high for us; the LORD our God delivered up all before us:
This land we took in possession at that time: from `Aro`er, which is by the valley of the Arnon, and half the hill country of Gil`ad, and the cities of it, gave I to the Re'uveni and to the Gadi:
Their border was from `Aro`er, that is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and the city that is in the middle of the valley, and all the plain by Medeva;
Then they went through the wilderness, and went around the land of Edom, and the land of Mo'av, and came by the east side of the land of Mo'av, and they encamped on the other side of the Arnon; but they didn't come within the border of Mo'av, for the Arnon was the border of Mo'av.
