Let Par`oh do this, and let him appoint overseers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt's produce in the seven plenteous years.
It will happen at the harvests, that you shall give a fifth to Par`oh, and four parts will be your own, for seed of the field, for your food, for them of your households, and for food for your little ones.*
Yosef made it a statute concerning the land of Egypt to this day, that Par`oh should have the fifth. Only the land of the Kohanim alone didn't become Par`oh's.
The men did the work faithfully: and the overseers of them were Yachat and `Ovadyah 1, the Levites, of the sons of Merari; and Zekharyah and Meshullam, of the sons of the Kehati, to set it forward; and [others of] the Levites, all who were skillful with instruments of music.
