Lavan had two daughters. The name of the elder was Le'ah, and the name of the younger was Rachel.

Lavan said to Ya`akov, *Because you are my brother, should you therefore serve me for nothing? Tell me, what will your wages be?*

Le'ah's eyes were weak, but Rachel was beautiful in form and attractive.

Le'ah conceived again, and bore a sixth son to Ya`akov.

Ya`akov sent and called Rachel and Le'ah to the field to his flock,

He put the handmaids and their children in front, Le'ah and her children after, and Rachel and Yosef at the rear.

The sons of Le'ah: Re'uven (Ya`akov's firstborn), Shim`on, Levi, Yehudah, Yissakhar, and Zevulun.
