God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. There was evening and there was morning, a sixth day.

God blessed the seventh day, and made it holy, because he rested in it from all his work which he had created and made.

*Six days you shall do your work, and on the seventh day you shall rest, that your ox and your donkey may have rest, and the son of your handmaid, and the alien may be refreshed.

Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is a Shabbat of solemn rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the day of Shabbat shall surely be put to death.

It is a sign between me and the children of Yisra'el forever; for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.'*

If you turn away your foot from the Shabbat, from doing your pleasure on my holy day; and call the Shabbat a delight, [and] the holy of the LORD honorable; and shall honor it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking [your own] words:

But Yeshua answered them, *My Father is still working, so I am working, too.*

but the seventh day is a Shabbat to the LORD your God: [in it] you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your livestock, nor your stranger who is within your gates; that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you.

For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.

For he has said this somewhere about the seventh day, *God rested on the seventh day from all his works;*
