It happened in the sixth year, in the sixth [month], in the fifth [day] of the month, as I sat in my house, and the elders of Yehudah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord GOD fell there on me.

But Elisha was sitting in his house, and the elders were sitting with him; and [the king] sent a man from before him: but before the messenger came to him, he said to the elders, See you how this son of a murderer has sent to take away my head? behold, when the messenger comes, shut the door, and hold the door fast against him: isn't the sound of his master's feet behind him?

Then came certain of the elders of Yisra'el to me, and sat before me.

The hand of the LORD was there on me; and he said to me, Arise, go forth into the plain, and I will there talk with you.

It happened also in the twelfth year, in the fifteenth [day] of the month, that the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

Now the hand of the LORD had been on me in the evening, before he who was escaped came; and he had opened my mouth, until he came to me in the morning; and my mouth was opened, and I was no more mute.

They come to you as the people comes, and they sit before you as my people, and they hear your words, but don't do them; for with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goes after their gain.

The hand of the LORD was on me, and he brought me out in the Spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones.

In the five and twentieth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth [day] of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was struck, in the same day, the hand of the LORD was on me, and he brought me there.

The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do to them after their way, and according to their own judgments will I judge them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

Then I saw, and behold, a likeness as the appearance of fire; from the appearance of his waist and downward, fire; and from his waist and upward, as the appearance of brightness, as it were glowing metal.

For the Kohen's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth; for he is the messenger of the LORD of Armies.

I coveted no one's silver, or gold, or clothing.
