Then I came to them of the captivity at Tel-Aviv, that lived by the river Kevar, and to where they lived; and I sat there overwhelmed among them seven days.
They came to the threshing floor of Atad, which is beyond the Yarden, and there they lamented with a very great and sore lamentation. He mourned for his father seven days.
Concerning the prophets. My heart within me is broken, all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine has overcome, because of the LORD, and because of his holy words.
Now it happened in the thirtieth year, in the fourth [month], in the fifth [day] of the month, as I was among the captives by the river Kevar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.
the word of the LORD came expressly to Yechezkel the Kohen, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Kasdim by the river Kevar; and the hand of the LORD was there on him.
Then I arose, and went forth into the plain: and behold, the glory of the LORD stood there, as the glory which I saw by the river Kevar; and I fell on my face.
It was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city; and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Kevar; and I fell on my face.
I heard, and my body trembled. My lips quivered at the voice. Rottenness enters into my bones, and I tremble in my place, because I must wait quietly for the day of trouble, for the coming up of the people who invade us.
