But Par`oh will not listen to you, and I will lay my hand on Egypt, and bring forth my armies, my people the children of Yisra'el, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.
The LORD said to Moshe, *Go in to Par`oh, for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I may show these my signs in the midst of them,
Moshe said to the people, *Remember this day, in which you came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place. No leavened bread shall be eaten.
It shall be for a sign to you on your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes, that the law of the LORD may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand the LORD has brought you out of Egypt.
Moshe told his father-in-law all that the LORD had done to Par`oh and to the Egyptians for Yisra'el's sake, all the hardships that had come on them on the way, and how the LORD delivered them.
The LORD said to Moshe, *Now you shall see what I will do to Par`oh, for by a strong hand he shall let them go, and by a strong hand he shall drive them out of his land.*
Therefore tell the children of Yisra'el, 'I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments:
You shall tell him, 'The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to you, saying, *Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness:* and behold, until now you haven't listened.
behold, the hand of the LORD is on your livestock which are in the field, on the horses, on the donkeys, on the camels, on the herds, and on the flocks with a very grievous pestilence.
With my soul have I desired you in the night. Yes, with my spirit within me will I seek you earnestly; for when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.
For thus says the Lord GOD: How much more when I send my four sore judgments on Yerushalayim, the sword, and the famine, and the evil animals, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and animal!
Who wouldn't fear you, Lord, and glorify your name? For you only are holy. For all the nations will come and worship before you. For your righteous acts have been revealed.*
for true and righteous are his judgments. For he has judged the great prostitute, who corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality, and he has avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.*
Wherever they went out, the hand of the LORD was against them for evil, as the LORD had spoken, and as the LORD had sworn to them: and they were sore distressed.
