Moshe and Aharon did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and struck the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Par`oh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.

Moshe and Aharon did so. As the LORD commanded them, so they did.

Was the LORD displeased with the rivers? Was your anger against the rivers, or your wrath against the sea, that you rode on your horses, on your chariots of salvation?

The second angel sounded, and something like a great burning mountain was thrown into the sea. One third of the sea became blood,
