Yitzchak spoke to Avraham his father, and said, *My father?* He said, *Here I am, my son.* He said, *Here is the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?*

to offer burnt offerings to the LORD on the altar of burnt offering continually morning and evening, even according to all that is written in the Torah of the LORD, which he commanded to Yisra'el;

and they burn to the LORD every morning and every evening burnt offerings and sweet incense: the show bread also [set they] in order on the pure table; and the menorah of gold with the lamps of it, to burn every evening: for we keep the charge of the LORD our God; but you have forsaken him.

Shlomo sent to Churam the king of Tzor, saying, As you dealt with David my father, and sent him cedars to build him a house in which to dwell, [even so deal with me].

Behold, I am about to build a house for the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him incense of sweet spices, and for the continual show bread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the Shabbatot, and on the new moons, and on the set feasts of the LORD our God. This is [an ordinance] forever to Yisra'el.

Also they have shut up the doors of the porch, and put out the lamps, and have not burned incense nor offered burnt offerings in the holy place to the God of Yisra'el.

[He appointed] also the king's portion of his substance for the burnt offerings, [to wit], for the morning and evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings for the Shabbatot, and for the new moons, and for the set feasts, as it is written in the Torah of the LORD.

even as the duty of every day required, offering according to the mitzvah of Moshe, on the Shabbatot, and on the new moons, and on the set feasts, three times in the year, [even] in the feast of matzah, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of booths.

They set the altar on its base; for fear was on them because of the peoples of the countries: and they offered burnt offerings thereon to the LORD, even burnt offerings morning and evening.

and afterward the continual burnt offering, and [the offerings] of the new moons, and of all the set feasts of the LORD that were consecrated, and of everyone who willingly offered a freewill offering to the LORD.

He set the altar of burnt offering at the door of the tent of the tent of meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the meal offering, as the LORD commanded Moshe.

You shall prepare a lamb a year old without blemish for a burnt offering to the LORD daily: morning by morning shall you prepare it.

Thus shall they prepare the lamb, and the meal offering, and the oil, morning by morning, for a continual burnt offering.

From the time that the continual [burnt offering] shall be taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred ninety days.

yes, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gavri'el, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening offering.

He shall make a firm covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease; and on the wing of abominations [shall come] one who makes desolate; and even to the full end, and that determined, shall [wrath] be poured out on the desolate.

Aharon's sons shall burn it on the altar on the burnt offering, which is on the wood that is on the fire: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor to the LORD.

*Command Aharon and his sons, saying, 'This is the law of the burnt offering: the burnt offering shall be on the hearth on the altar all night until the morning; and the fire of the altar shall be kept burning on it.

He presented the meal offering, and filled his hand from there, and burned it upon the altar, besides the burnt offering of the morning.

besides the burnt offering of the new moon, and the meal offering of it, and the continual burnt offering and the meal offering of it, and their drink offerings, according to their ordinance, for a sweet savor, an offering made by fire to the LORD.

The next day, he saw Yeshua coming to him, and said, *Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

who doesn't need, like those Kohenim Gedolim, to offer up sacrifices daily, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. For he did this once for all, when he offered up himself.

but with precious blood, as of a faultless and pure lamb, the blood of Messiah;
