Shlomo made all the vessels that were in the house of the LORD: the golden altar, and the table whereupon the show bread was, of gold;

On the table of show bread they shall spread a blue cloth, and put on it the dishes, the spoons, the bowls, and the cups with which to pour out; and the continual bread shall be on it.

how he entered into the house of God, and ate the show bread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for those who were with him, but only for the Kohanim?

For a tabernacle was prepared. In the first part were the menorah, the table, and the show bread; which is called the Holy Place.

The Kohen answered David, and said, There is no common bread under my hand, but there is holy bread; if only the young men have kept themselves from women.

David answered the Kohen, and said to him, Of a truth women have been kept from us about these three days; when I came out, the vessels of the young men were holy, though it was but a common journey; how much more then today shall their vessels be holy?

So the Kohen gave him holy [bread]; for there was no bread there but the show bread, that was taken from before the LORD, to put hot bread in the day when it was taken away.
