It came to pass, when they had heard the law, that they separated from Yisra'el all the mixed multitude.

Moshe said, *We will go with our young and with our old; with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast to the LORD.*

The people were thirsty for water there; and the people murmured against Moshe, and said, *Why have you brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us, our children, and our livestock with thirst?*

The son of an Yisra'eli woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Yisra'el; and the son of the Yisra'eli woman and a man of Yisra'el strove together in the camp.

Thus says the LORD of Armies: *In those days, ten men will take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, they will take hold of the skirt of him who is a Jew, saying, 'We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.'*

The mixed multitude that was among them lusted exceedingly: and the children of Yisra'el also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?

The children of Yisra'el said to him, We will go up by the highway; and if we drink of your water, I and my livestock, then will I give the price of it: let me only, without [doing] anything [else], pass through on my feet.

Now the children of Re'uven and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of livestock: and when they saw the land of Ya`zer, and the land of Gil`ad, that behold, the place was a place for livestock;

But your wives, and your little ones, and your livestock, (I know that you have much livestock), shall abide in your cities which I have given you,

There was not a word of all that Moshe commanded, which Yehoshua didn't read before all the assembly of Yisra'el, and the women, and the little ones, and the foreigners who were among them.
