The LORD said to Moshe, *Yet one plague more will I bring on Par`oh, and on Egypt; afterwards he will let you go. When he lets you go, he will surely thrust you out altogether.
It happened at midnight, that the LORD struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Par`oh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of livestock.
The LORD said to Moshe, *Now you shall see what I will do to Par`oh, for by a strong hand he shall let them go, and by a strong hand he shall drive them out of his land.*
For this time I will send all my plagues against your heart, against your officials, and against your people; that you may know that there is none like me in all the earth.
Or has God tried to go and take him a nation from the midst of [another] nation, by trials, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?
People were scorched with great heat, and people blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues. They didn't repent and give him glory.
Then they said, *What shall be the trespass offering which we shall return to him?* They said, *Five golden tumors, and five golden mice, [according to] the number of the lords of the Pelishtim; for one plague was on you all, and on your lords.
