For if you remain silent now, then relief and deliverance will come to the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Who knows if you haven't come to the kingdom for such a time as this?*

He brought up Hadassah, that is, Ester, his uncle's daughter; for she had neither father nor mother. The maiden was fair and beautiful; and when her father and mother were dead, Mordekhai took her for his own daughter.

Then Mordekhai asked them return answer to Ester, *Don't think to yourself that you will escape in the king's house any more than all the Jews.

Then Ester asked them to answer Mordekhai,

He will not allow me to catch my breath, but fills me with bitterness.

a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

then I will remember my covenant with Ya`akov; and also my covenant with Yitzchak, and also my covenant with Avraham; and I will remember the land.

I also tell you that you are Kefa, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and the gates of She'ol will not prevail against it.

Unless those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved. But for the sake of the chosen ones, those days will be shortened.

For the LORD will judge his people, and have compassion on his servants, when he sees that [their] power is gone, There is none [remaining], shut up or left at large.

Then the Pelishtim said, Who has done this? They said, Shimshon, the son-in-law of the Timni, because he has taken his wife, and given her to his companion. The Pelishtim came up, and burnt her and her father with fire.

For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name's sake, because it has pleased the LORD to make you a people to himself.

David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause?
