By myself have I sworn, the word is gone forth from my mouth [in] righteousness, and shall not return, that to me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
and you shall swear, As the LORD lives, in truth, in justice, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.
For if you shall diligently keep all this mitzvah which I command you, to do it, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave to him;
to love the LORD your God, to obey his voice, and to cleave to him; for he is your life, and the length of your days; that you may dwell in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Avraham, to Yitzchak, and to Ya`akov, to give them.
Oh that there were such a heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my mitzvot always, that it might be well with them, and with their children forever!
that you not come among these nations, these that remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause to swear [by them], neither serve them, nor bow down yourselves to them;
Shemu'el spoke to all the house of Yisra'el, saying, If you do return to the LORD with all your heart, then put away the foreign gods and the `Ashtarot from among you, and direct your hearts to the LORD, and serve him only; and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Pelishtim.
