Daniel 8:1

In the third year of the reign of king Belshatzar a vision appeared to me, even to me, Daniyel, after that which appeared to me at the first.

Now it happened in the thirtieth year, in the fourth [month], in the fifth [day] of the month, as I was among the captives by the river Kevar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

Now as for these four youths, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniyel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

In those days I, Daniyel, was mourning three whole weeks.

I, Daniyel, alone saw the vision; for the men who were with me didn't see the vision; but a great quaking fell on them, and they fled to hide themselves.

When he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the four winds of the sky, but not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion with which he ruled; for his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others besides these.

In the first year of Belshatzar king of Bavel Daniyel had a dream and visions of his head on his bed: then he wrote the dream and told the sum of the matters.

As for me, Daniyel, my spirit was grieved in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.

Here is the end of the matter. As for me, Daniyel, my thoughts much troubled me, and my face was changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart.

It happened, when I, even I Daniyel, had seen the vision, that I sought to understand it; and behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.

I saw in the vision; now it was so, that when I saw, I was in the citadel of Susa, which is in the province of `Elam; and I saw in the vision, and I was by the river Ulai.

in the first year of his reign I, Daniyel, understood by the books the number of the years about which the word of the LORD came to Yirmeyahu the prophet, for the accomplishing of the desolations of Yerushalayim, even seventy years.
