The sin of Yehudah is written with a pen of iron, [and] with the point of a diamond: it is engraved on the tablet of their heart, and on the horns of your altars;
and they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD; for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more.
The incense that you burned in the cities of Yehudah, and in the streets of Yerushalayim, you and your fathers, your kings and your princes, and the people of the land, didn't the LORD remember them, and didn't it come into his mind?
As for the sacrifices of my offerings, they sacrifice flesh and eat it; But the LORD doesn't accept them. Now he will remember their iniquity, and punish their sins. They will return to Egypt.
The Lord GOD has sworn by his holiness that behold, *The days shall come on you that they will take you away with hooks, and the last of you with fish hooks.
*The Lord GOD has sworn by himself,* says the LORD, the God Tzeva'ot: *I abhor the pride of Ya`akov, and detest his fortresses. Therefore I will deliver up the city with all that is in it.
