As he stayed there many days, Festus laid Sha'ul's case before the king, saying, *There is a certain man left a prisoner by Felix;
He asked them to provide animals, that they might set Sha'ul on one, and bring him safely to Felix the governor.
When they came to Caesarea and delivered the letter to the governor, they also presented Sha'ul to him.
But when two years were fulfilled, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus, and desiring to gain favor with the Judeans, Felix left Sha'ul in bonds.
