Eliyahu said to him, Elisha, please wait here, for the LORD has sent me to Yericho. He said, As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. So they came to Yericho.

In his days did Chi'el the Beit-Eli build Yericho: he laid the foundation of it with the loss of Aviram his firstborn, and set up the gates of it with the loss of his youngest son Seguv, according to the word of the LORD, which he spoke by Yehoshua the son of Nun.

Rut said, *Don't entreat me to leave you, and to return from following after you, for where you go, I will go; and where you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God my God;

She said, Oh, my lord, as your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman who stood by you here, praying to the LORD.
