Thus says the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil on this place, and on the inhabitants of it, even all the curses that are written in the book which they have read before the king of Yehudah.

therefore thus says the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, Behold, I bring such evil on Yerushalayim and Yehudah, that whoever hears of it, both his ears shall tingle.

therefore thus says the LORD, the God Tzeva'ot, the God of Yisra'el: Behold, I will bring on Yehudah and on all the inhabitants of Yerushalayim all the evil that I have pronounced against them; because I have spoken to them, but they have not heard; and I have called to them, but they have not answered.

Then Mikhayahu declared to them all the words that he had heard, when Barukh read the book in the ears of the people.

I will punish him and his seed and his servants for their iniquity; and I will bring on them, and on the inhabitants of Yerushalayim, and on the men of Yehudah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them, but they didn't listen.

Hear, earth: behold, I will bring evil on this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not listened to my words; and as for my law, they have rejected it.

You, son of man, tell the house of Yisra'el: Thus you speak, saying, Our transgressions and our sins are on us, and we pine away in them; how then can we live?

that they may want bread and water, and be dismayed one with another, and pine away in their iniquity.

*'But if you will not listen to me, and will not do all these mitzvot;

Those of you who are left will pine away in their iniquity in your enemies' lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.

When you disobey the covenant of the LORD your God, which he commanded you, and go and serve other gods, and bow down yourselves to them; then will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and you shall perish quickly from off the good land which he has given to you.
