He set the Keruvim within the inner house; and the wings of the Keruvim were stretched forth, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other Keruv touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.
The Kohanim brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD to its place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the Keruvim.
The poles were so long that the ends of the poles were seen from the holy place before the oracle; but they were not seen outside: and there they are to this day.
The Keruvim shall spread out their wings upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings, with their faces toward one another. The faces of the Keruvim shall be toward the mercy seat.
