Avraham rose early in the morning, and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Yitzchak his son. He split the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went to the place of which God had told him.

It happened at the end of three years, that two of the servants of Shim`i ran away to Akhish, son of Ma`akhah, king of Gat. They told Shim`i, saying, Behold, your servants are in Gat.

It was told Shlomo that Shim`i had gone from Yerushalayim to Gat, and was come again.

He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house, but he who hates bribes will live.

He said to them, *Beware! Keep yourselves from covetousness, for a man's life doesn't consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses.*

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
